One of our students found out all yoga classes aren’t the same “When we were on vacation I decided to take a yoga class offered by the hotel where we were staying. And was I ever disappointed! This class wasn’t even close to yoga as I know it at South Windsor Yoga Studio. It didn’t make that much difference to me because I knew I could come home to my classes at South Windsor Yoga. But I really felt sorry for any people taking their first yoga class that day. They didn’t get the chance to know what yoga is really all about.”

One of our students attributes her improved health to yoga: It’s now more than 10 years since I’ve been practicing yoga at South Windsor Yoga. At 58 years old my body is dealing with a herniated cervical disc, arthritis in my lumbar spine and osteoporosis. Yet I’m still able to garden, hike and do most of the things I love. I believe it’s due to yoga. I don’t think it’s a coincidence that the one year I skipped several terms of yoga I ended up in physical therapy for the disc problem and then for severe muscle spasms in my lower back.
I return to the breath whenever I feel myself speeding up or stressing out. After 10 years of yoga practice, I’m not as tranquil as the Dali Lama, but I’ve gone from a Type A +++ to only a Type A . . . and I’m still working on it! I can’t imagine my life without yoga ever again! Thank you so much for the gift of yoga.

An e-mail from a student: Dear Paul, I just wanted to thank you for a wonderful class this morning. I walked in feeling tired and weak. I left feeling refreshed and powerful.
